Who we are
NextPour is a wine cellar management service operated by Bailey Heritage Holdings, LLC ("NextPour," "we," "us"), a Texas limited liability company.
Address: 5900 Balcones Drive STE 100 Austin, TX, 78731, US Email: cb@nextpour.app
This policy explains what we collect, why, who else touches it, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese. If anything here is unclear, email us and ask.
The short version
We collect what we need to run your cellar and bill you, and nothing else. We send information about your wines to an AI provider so we can generate notes and answer your questions — that provider does not train on it. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not share your collection with anyone. Your cellar is yours: you can export it or delete it at any time.
What we collect
Account information. Your email address and display name. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored as a cryptographic hash — we never see it.
Your cellar data. The wines you add: producer, wine name, vintage, appellation, region, vineyard, quantity, purchase information you choose to enter, bin and rack locations, tasting notes, wishlist entries, and consumption history. This is the core of the service.
Subscription information. Your subscription status, plan, trial end date, and renewal date, plus an identifier linking your account to our payment processor.
Payment information — which we do not receive. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number and payment details go directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored by us. We receive only your subscription status and a customer identifier.
Technical information. Standard server logs generated by our hosting provider, such as IP address and request data, used for security and to keep the service running.
We do not run analytics or advertising trackers. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To provide the service: storing your cellar, showing your maps, running searches, generating notes and drinking windows, answering your questions
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To bill you and manage your subscription
- To send you service messages (trial reminders, receipts, security notices, and important changes to the service)
- To diagnose problems and improve the product
Legal bases (for users in the EU/UK): we process your account, cellar, and subscription data to perform our contract with you; we process technical and security data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure service; and we send service emails on the basis of contract performance.
How we use AI, and what happens to your data
This is the part most privacy policies gloss over, so we'll be specific.
NextPour uses artificial intelligence to generate drinking-window estimates, wine descriptions, and answers to questions you ask about your cellar.
To do this, we send information about the wines in your collection — producer, wine name, vintage, appellation, and your stated storage conditions — to Anthropic, our AI provider, which processes it and returns generated text. We send only what is needed to produce the note or answer the question.
Under our commercial agreement with Anthropic, this data is not used to train AI models.
We do not send your email address, name, payment information, or account credentials to our AI provider.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of service providers to run NextPour. Each receives only what it needs:
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and authentication | Your account and cellar data |
| Vercel | Hosting | Technical/server log data |
| Stripe | Payments and subscriptions | Your email and payment details (directly from you) |
| Anthropic | AI-generated notes and answers | Wine details, as described above |
| Mapbox | Displaying the terroir maps | Map usage data from your browser |
These providers process data in the United States. If you are located in the EU, UK, or elsewhere outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Our providers maintain appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property — but we will not hand over your cellar to anyone who simply asks.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We don't run ads.
- We don't share your cellar with other users. Your collection is private to your account.
- We don't use your data to train AI models, and neither does our AI provider.
- We don't publish rankings, leaderboards, or aggregate statistics about what you own.
Cookies
We use only the cookies strictly necessary to run the service — principally a session cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. Because these cookies are essential to a service you have asked for, no consent banner is required.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and cellar data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and cellar contents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).
Server logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes.
Your rights
Whatever jurisdiction you're in, we offer these to everyone:
- Access — ask us what we hold about you
- Export — download your cellar data at any time
- Correction — fix anything inaccurate
- Deletion — delete your account and your data
If you're in the EU or UK, you additionally have rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you're in California: we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request access to or deletion of your information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, email cb@nextpour.app. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls that isolate each user's data from every other user's, and restricted administrative access. Payment card data never reaches our systems.
No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your cellar as what it is: a record of something valuable that you trusted us with.
Children
NextPour is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and notify account holders by email. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
